The Round Tennis Net Post are 76mm OD x 3mm thick. Made from heavy duty steel and comes with aluminium top caps and stainless steel eyes. The round net post is often considered the neater looking post in comparison to the square net post but is the slightly more expensive option. Fitted with a net winder mechanism with a pulley wheel at one and a welded hook at the other for the tension wire loop to attach to.
Ground Sockets
There are two options when it comes to net posts, round or square. You can either buy the net posts with sockets, or without. Which one you require will depend on whether you have existing net sockets. It is a frequent misconception that if the net posts need replacing you also need to replace the sockets.
With Ground Sockets
The net post itself drops 11cm into 83mm OD sockets that are made from steel. The socket is 36cm deep in total. The sockets have plastic socket caps and are powder coated green. Each post has steel lacing bars that enable the tennis net to be attached to the post for a professional looking finish.
Of course if you have a round ground socket you will require a round net post. Please ensure you check the court before you make the choice.
Without Ground Sockets
If your court/courts already have ground sockets then you will only need to purchase a pair of net posts. This is a cheaper option and is most often what is required.
In order to choose the option you require please select one of the drop down option next to the product image. If you have any queries around round net posts in comparison to square net posts please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our friendly staff.
