Galvanised swivel and hook adjusts by turning the barrel of the galvanised swivel. Designed and supplied by Edwards Sports, a very well designed item that lasts a very long time and performs year on year.
There are two types of swivel adjusters. The more affordable galvanised swivel adjuster and the brass swivel adjuster which is more expensive. The galvanised swivel adjuster is reliable, sturdy and is purchased up and down the country by schools, clubs and sport centres. It is a small but essential part of a tennis net.
You use the swivel adjuster by linking it with the centre net strap and hooking it into the ground. The court itself should have been installed with a small hole in the centre of the court where a hook can be found. There is a chance however that your court constructors didn’t included this hole/hook. If this is the case you need to attach the swivel adjuster to a net base weight. If your tennis court does not have a hook installed into the court itself you will need to purchase a base weight. These are 5kg in weight and are a powder-coated cast iron construction and are green to blend in well with the net and court.
Purchasing a swivel adjuster and a centre net strap is important to maintain the correct height of the tennis net. You can also purchase an adjustable centre net band which adjusts its length via a buckle. This can also be used on a tennis net and depends on an individuals or clubs preference. This will also require a net base weight if there isn’t a pre-installed hook in the ground.
You can either buy the centre net strap and swivel adjuster separately or as one. For all other options please return to our ‘Tennis Net Accessories’ options.
