Replacement tennis net wire to ensure the tension on your tennis net stays as it should.
There are two types of tennis net wires.
1.) The Loop & Pin – As described this wire has a loop at one end and a pin at the other. The loop attaches to the side of the tennis net post and the pin attaches to the winder mechanism. Once the pin is instered into the winder mechanism you wind the mechanism and the net wire is slowly tightened. Continue turning until desired tension is reached. This type of tennsi net wire is the most common and will be appropriate for 90% of tennis net posts in the UK. All tennis nets at Max Sports come with a Loop & Pin tension wire as standard.
2.) The Loop & Loop – As opposed to a pin at one of the tension wire there is another loop. Some tennis posts require a loop to attach to both sides of the posts. If you require a Loop & Loop tension wire please call us ask for this and we will be happy to organise this for you. Our tennis nets do not come with Loop & Loop tension wires unless requested at the point of ordering. Only a small portion of net posts in the UK require a Loop & Loop tension wire however is it worth double checking this prior to purchasing.
The tension wire is 4mm thick and is coated in a black plastic to ensure maximum durability and to protect it against weather conditions through the year.
*If you need to replace the tension wire in a tennis net please attach the new wire to the old before you pull out the old tension wire. Once they are attached you can pull the old wire out whilst also pulling the new wire through the net. If you do not do this you will be unable to get the new wire through the net after you have pulled the old wire out.
