This large winder handle is the key component in tightening and changing the height of a tennis net. The winder handle needs to be wound clockwise to adjust the height of the tennis net.

Tennis net posts are usually sold with winder mechanisms and winders already attached. In the scenario that you lose your net winder or it needs replacing for any reason you will need to purchase a tennis winder. At this point you need to investigate whether you need a ‘Small’ or ‘Large’ winder. The ‘Large’ winder as shown in the image above is suitable for a slightly larger winder mechanism. There is no difference in the shape or size of the net post itself, it is purely the winder mechanism that is slightly different.

The main difference in winders, other than size, is the hole that slots onto the winder mechanism is round. As opposed to square (which is the shape of the Small Winder). This is an important difference because if you buy the ‘Small’ winder for the ‘Large’ mechanism they will not fit together.
