The Heavy Duty Brass Winding Mechanism is designed for the traditional 3″ square net post. The centre of the holes on the fixing plate is 45mm left to right and 133mm top to bottom. In order to ensure a prolonged lifespan for this product please grease at regular intervals. Screws are included to ensure that you are able to attach the winder mechanism to the tennis post itself.

Product Comparison

The product shown is a ‘Large’ winder mechanism. These are compatible with the new type of tennis post. The best way of determine which kind of winder mechanism you require is to look at your existing post. Which winder does it match? If it matches the product shown then you require a large net winder mechanism. If it doesn’t and the image ‘U’ shape in the middle of the mechanism and a curved handle then you require a ‘Small’ winder mechanism.

If you’re winder mechanism breaks you do not need to replace the entire net post. You can detach the winder mechanism and replace it with a new one. To replace the winder mechanism you need to unravel the net wire from the mechanism. This is done by unwinding the net and taking the pin out of the hole. Once you have removed the net wire you are able to unscrew the mechanism from the net post.

The function of the winder mechanism itself is to tighten the tennis net. Tighten the tennis net to a level where it is the correct height to begin playing tennis. The winder needs to be wound in a clockwise motion to bring the net to the desired height.
