The centre to centre of the holes on the fixing plate is 104mm top to bottom and 42mm left to right. These mechanisms need frequent greasing to prolong lifespan.
Material & Maintenance
– Please ensure you grease the mechanism regularly to prolong the lifespan of the winder and prevent rusting
– Heavy Duty Brass
If you?re tennis net winder mechanism becomes broken it is a common misunderstanding that you need to replace the entire net post. In fact only the mechanism itself needs to be replaced. In order to do this you need to remove the current, broken mechanism and replace it with the new one. To remove the mechanism you first need to unwind the net to ensure you can remove the net wire. Once you have done this you can remove the head wire pin from the mechanism. From here you need to unscrew the existing mechanism from the post.
Product Comparison
When looking to buy a new winder mechanism please ensure that you buy the right one for your tennis post. There are two choices available. The first is the small winder (as shown above), this mechanism is 104mm top to bottom and 42mm across. The second is a large winder mechanism, this is 5mm left to right and 133mm top to bottom. The easiest way of finding out the type of winder you require if to compare your current winder to the images on our website.
The function of the net winder mechanism is to tighten the tennis net to the desirable net height. This can be achieved by winding the winder clockwise.
