Classic Wooden Tennis Net Measure
Hand cut with the finest pine and finished in varnish this product is the best choice when it comes to measuring the height of your tennis net. The wooden net measure comes with a notch already engraved to represent the correct regulation net height.
The Wooden Net Measure is sold individually and often only need one net measure per every couple of tennis nets. Many however choose for convenience to have one net measure per tennis net.
For the most accurate reading place the net measure against the middle of the net. Ensure the net height (the top of the net-tape) reaches the notch on the measuring stick. It will be the case that the net will be higher than this measurement the closer the net gets to the net post. This is natural as the net will be slightly lower in the middle. *This is often why a cross-court shot has a higher success rate than down the line, as the ball will pass over the lowest point in the net*.
The correct height of a tennis net is 3 feet (0.91 metres) in the centre. As mentioned above however the net becomes higher as it gets closer to the post, the correct height of the net is 3 feet and 6 inches (1.07 metres) at the posts. If you need to adjust the height of the tennis net you need to use the winder mechanism until you reach the tension required.
